Our client, a nationally recognised land and estate services company, is seeking a highly motivated Principal Surveyor to lead technical management across their client's portfolio, focusing on large connection projects and land acquisition. The successful candidate will thrive in a high-pressure environment while maintaining a strong team ethos and delivering solutions for clients.
Position overview
The Principal Surveyor will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day technical management of the client's portfolio, particularly large connection projects and land acquisition across the DNO network area. The role involves providing technical guidance and direction on land acquisition, planning regulation, valuation, and compensation to deliver projects across the UK while maintaining and building client relationships.
Responsibilities
- Manage technical aspects of land and estate projects
- Provide support to the client's framework contract team
- Offer technical guidance on land acquisition and planning
- Advise on valuation and compensation for UK projects
- Maintain and strengthen existing client relationships
Requirements
- MRICS qualification (essential)
- RICS Registered Valuer qualification (desirable)
- CAAV qualification (desirable)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Ability to build lasting relationships with clients and colleagues
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Commercial awareness
- Experience in the renewable sector (desirable)
