Websters Rural is proud to be working in partnership with a prestigious and well-established national property consultancy to appoint a dynamic and commercially minded Director to join their Rural team, based in Inverness.
This is a rare opportunity to take a senior leadership role in one of the Highland’s most respected and progressive rural estate management practices. The position will suit an experienced Chartered Surveyor with a strong background in rural estate management, looking to step into a role with autonomy, influence, and the opportunity to help shape the future of rural consultancy in the region.
Position overview
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the delivery of estate management services across a diverse portfolio of private and institutional rural estates throughout the Highlands. You will be responsible for leading client relationships, mentoring a team of surveyors, and driving business development initiatives to grow the firm’s presence across the region.
Responsibilities
- Leading and developing long-term estate management strategies for private and corporate clients
- Acting as a trusted advisor on rural asset management, diversification, and environmental opportunities
- Line management and mentoring of junior surveyors and graduates
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships and networks across the rural sector
- Supporting business development and contributing to the strategic direction of the Inverness office
- Ensuring full compliance with relevant professional and regulatory standards
The Ideal Candidate
- MRICS qualified with a strong track record in rural estate management
- Ideally 10+ years post-qualification experience, with previous leadership or Director-level experience desirable
- Strong understanding of the rural sector in Scotland, particularly the unique opportunities and challenges in the Highlands
- A commercial mindset with the ability to identify and capitalise on business development opportunities
- Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills
- Committed to delivering high-quality service and long-term client value
