Websters Rural are working on behalf of a leading property consultancy to recruit an experienced Rural Valuer.
Position overview
Our client, a highly regarded and well-established property consultancy, is seeking a qualified and driven Rural Valuer to join their expanding rural team. This role presents a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to work within a dynamic and professional environment, supporting a wide range of rural clients across Edinburgh.
The Role
As a Rural Valuer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality valuation and professional advice across a broad spectrum of rural assets, including estates, farms, residential and commercial property, and development land. You’ll be part of a forward-thinking team, engaging with clients that include private landowners, institutions, and corporate bodies.
Responsibilities
- Undertake RICS Red Book valuations for a variety of purposes including loan security, taxation, and strategic planning.
- Provide professional advice on rural property including estate management, landlord and tenant matters, and strategic rural consultancy.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring excellent service delivery and trust.
- Support business development activities and contribute to the continued growth of the department.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues across the wider rural and multi-disciplinary teams.
Requirements
- MRICS qualified with experience in rural valuation (essential).
- RICS Registered Valuer.
- Strong knowledge of the rural property sector, agricultural practices, and land management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and client relationship skills.
- Commercially astute with the ability to identify and develop new business opportunities.
- Full UK driving licence.
