Our client, a leading independent estate agency and chartered surveying firm in Norfolk, is seeking a dynamic and business-focused MRICS-qualified Rural Practice Chartered Surveyor to join as a Partner. This is a rare opportunity for an ambitious individual to move into senior leadership, play an integral role in business strategy, and drive the future growth of a well-established practice delivering comprehensive property services across the county.
Position overview
As a Partner, you will take a leadership role within the agency, overseeing the rural professional team, shaping business development strategies, and building strong, long-term client relationships. You will maintain a hands-on approach to expert consultancy across rural and residential property, while empowering the wider business to excel in areas including valuations, land management, environmental stewardship, and sales and lettings. You will help influence the company's vision, culture, and market presence.
Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire the rural professional team, setting high standards for client care and technical delivery
- Drive business growth through strategic planning, client engagement, and identifying new service opportunities
- Oversee key instructions, including secured lending, taxation, and estate planning valuations
- Provide senior oversight for environmental, grant, and stewardship projects
- Take executive responsibility for contract farming, compensation claims, and rural property sales and lettings
- Develop and maintain high-value client relationships; represent the practice at industry forums and events
- Advise on rural planning, diversification, and sustainability strategies in response to evolving regulatory and market trends
- Contribute to budgeting, business planning, and overall company leadership
Requirements
- MRICS qualified with Level 3 Valuation at APC
- FAAV status and full CAAV membership
- Extensive experience and network within rural and agricultural property sectors
- Proven track record in business development, client management, and strategic leadership
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and project management abilities
- Commercially minded, with the confidence and drive to shape the direction of an ambitious firm
- Full UK Driver’s Licence and access to personal transport
