Our client, an award-winning independent estate agent in Dorking, is seeking a skilled Rural Surveyor to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an RICS-qualified surveyor to contribute to the growth and success of their rural property department.
Position overview
As a Rural Surveyor, you will play a key role in providing professional services to farmers and landowners, assisting with valuations, sales, management and planning matters related to rural and agricultural properties.
Responsibilities
- Conduct valuations of rural and agricultural properties
- Assist in marketing and selling agricultural land
- Provide professional advice on rural property matters
- Assist in managing rural properties
- Advise on rural planning matters
- Deal with rural grant applications
- Prepare reports and presentations for clients
- Stay updated on legislation and market trends
- Develop and maintain client and colleague relationships
- Contribute to department's growth and development
Requirements
- RICS qualification with strong rural property understanding
- Recently CAAV-qualified or actively pursuing CAAV exams
- Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in relevant software
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Willingness to travel
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
