Our client is a family-run agricultural business specialising in organic and conventional seed, grain and sustainable farming solutions across the UK. They're seeking a Farm Trader to build relationships with farmers and support their trading operations in a permanent role.
Position overview
You'll work within the trading team, connecting with farmers to buy and sell seeds, grain and nutrition products. Your role involves understanding market trends, supporting trading decisions, and developing genuine partnerships that underpin the company's commitment to sustainable agriculture and long-term farmer success.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with farming clients across the sector
- Support buying and selling of seeds, grain and nutrition products
- Monitor market trends and contribute to trading insights
- Assist the trading team with day-to-day operations and processes
- Develop product knowledge and learn trading fundamentals
Requirements
- Genuine interest in agriculture and the farming sector
- Strong communication skills with ability to listen actively
- Confidence balanced with empathy when working with clients
- Willingness to learn and ask questions in a supportive environment
- No prior trading experience required - curiosity and positive attitude valued
